Who we are

MezzanineQuote.co.uk is operated by Autaimate, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. For the purposes of UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), Autaimate is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, contact us at [email protected].

What data we collect

We only collect the personal data you choose to give us. The main point on this site where we collect personal data is the quote enquiry form. When you complete it, we collect the details you enter — typically your name, your contact details (such as email or phone), and information about your mezzanine project.

This site also offers an AI chat assistant. When you use it, the messages you send and the assistant's replies are processed to answer your question and are logged so we can keep the service working and improve it. With each conversation we also record some limited technical information: the page you opened the chat on, your browser type (user-agent), and a one-way, irreversible hashed form of your IP address — we never store your actual IP address. Please do not enter sensitive personal information into the chat; if you want to share project details for a quote, use the quote form.

We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies on this website. The compliance checkers run entirely in your browser — the figures you enter into a checker are not sent to us or stored.

How we use your data

We use the information from the quote form solely to respond to your enquiry — to understand your project and provide a quote or relevant information. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for marketing unless you have asked us to.

Where you use the chat assistant, we use the messages you send to generate answers, to keep the service running reliably and prevent abuse, and to understand and improve how the assistant performs. We do not use chat content for marketing, and we do not sell it.

Our lawful basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries you send us, in operating and securing this website (including the chat assistant), and in taking steps at your request before entering into any contract.

Who processes your data

To run the quote form and the chat assistant, and to host this site, we use the following service providers, who process data on our behalf:

  • SmartSuite — provides and stores the quote enquiry form and its submissions.
  • Cloudflare — hosts and serves this website.
  • Anthropic — provides the AI model that powers the chat assistant; the messages you send are processed by Anthropic to generate the assistant's replies.
  • Neon — provides the database that stores chat conversation logs.
  • Railway — hosts the service that runs the chat assistant.

These providers act as our processors and are only permitted to use your data to provide their service to us.

International transfers

Some of our providers may store or process data outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, we rely on the appropriate safeguards required by UK data protection law to protect your information.

How long we keep it

We keep quote enquiries for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and to keep reasonable business records, after which we delete them. You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time.

For the chat assistant, we keep conversation logs only as long as necessary to operate and improve the service, after which we delete them. Conversations are stored against a one-way hashed identifier rather than your name. You can ask us to delete your chat data at any time.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to or restrict our processing, and request a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email [email protected] and we will respond within the time limits set by law.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.
